Release Day Blitz: Searching for Always by Jennifer Probst

Today we are celebrating the release of SEARCHING FOR ALWAYS by Jennifer Probst. This is the 4th book in the Searching For series published by Gallery Books. Check out the teaser and giveaway below!

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst sparks a blissful mind-body connection as her “sexy, satisfying” (Kirkus Reviews) new series continues! She’s an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counselling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she’s a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. And when police officer Stone Petty—radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude—is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there’s no halting their sizzling flirtation—a red-hot, high-speed chase that’s breaking all the limits.

Accidentally in Love by Laura Drewry

Ellie Palmer and cops don’t mix, and getting pulled over by Officer Brett Hale—again—doesn’t help. Neither does being forced to take a safe-driving course with him. Brett’s by-the-book attitude leaves Ellie ice-cold, and his rock-hard body won’t change that. Still, the more time she spends with the guy, the more she finds herself warming up to his unexpected charms.

Even though Brett comes off like a boy scout, Ellie has sparked something he wants badly enough to get him to rethink his past mistakes. But when her ex shows up, Brett makes it his mission to keep Ellie safe in the here and now. His gut tells him the guy’s trouble, and Ellie must agree, because she doesn’t complain when Brett pulls her close. To keep her safe, though, he’ll have to choose between breaking her heart . . . and breaking the rules.

So we have here a story of two very different individuals that are thrown together. Ellie hates everything Officer Brett is on paper (and for somewhat good reason). So when a whole slew of events lead up to her having to spend more time with him, she's super-annoyed. Despite her preconceived notions of him and against her every fibre, Ellie finds herself warming up to Brett the more time she has to spend with him. Brett, who can't help his protective nature, takes it upon himself to keep Ellie safe when her crazy ex shows up in town...but then things get complicated as the lines blur when he goes under cover as her boyfriend and he gets to know her more.

I loved the dynamic between Ellie and Brett. Her hating him and him trying to break through those walls...inevitably leading to her not being able to help herself. It's a cute story. Brett really fills the alpha/protector role really well. He's written in as a damned sexy man (maybe it's because I subconsciously love chivalrous men...)--and one in uniform, at that! The story was well written and easy to get through. It was a good continuation to the series (I previously read Plain Jayne) and I'd definitely read the other books going on these two books.

Blog Tour: Schooled by Piper Lawson

Twenty-one year old Alexis Caine is so close to her dream she can taste it. And it tastes like validation and Häagen-Dazs.

In a few months she'll graduate with a shiny new business degree and launch a fashion label with her best friend Ava. All the planning, the dedication, and the saying ‘no’ to everything—and everyone—will have been worth it.

Then Dylan Cameron, Ava’s tall, dark and broody younger brother, returns from the East coast. Lex has hardly seen him in years and given his reputation for partying, girls, and worse, that’s just fine with her.

But suddenly Dylan’s all grown up. And a dangerous night of unplanned confessions for both of them threatens to tear Lex's carefully constructed world off its axis.

Because one sassy control freak plus one prodigal son equals chemistry that refuses to be ignored.

Unlike a lot of steamier NA novels, this one has quite a bit of guts to it. The story that takes place between Lexi and Dylan is one of chemistry and grows to be quite in-depth. I felt like I really got to know the characters. Moreso than in a lot of other novels I've read--or so it seemed. Dylan comes with a reputation that Lexi is determined to peel off and look beneath. He's got this bad boy vibe to him that makes him insta-attractive to me. Lexi doesn't come off as annoying at first but the more she makes excuses to keep things between the two of them under wraps, the more I wanted to kick her. I get her motives but it didn't make too much sense to me anyway.

That all having been said, I loved the chemistry between Dylan and Lexi. There was a lot of it and it was unexpected and it was so undeniable that even self-driven Lexi couldn't help herself despite the pact she had made with her best friend. The messiness of being involved with her best friend's brother without her knowing keeps things interesting. The story was there and the chemistry was there. Definitely a light and enjoyable read. Great debut novel by author Piper Lawson!
