Blog Tour: A Little Too Close by Rebecca Yarros

From USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros comes a small town, single parent romance.

Nine years ago, Weston Madigan saved me. I came to Colorado penniless, heartbroken, and pregnant, searching for a fresh start. Weston gave me a job at his family’s resort, then left the next day and never returned, not even to visit.

Then I stumble in on Weston cooking breakfast shirtless—gloriously, inappropriately shirtless—in the shared kitchen of my duplex in employee housing. Given the shock on both our faces, he wasn’t expecting a roommate either, let alone two.

The growly pilot is only home to start his family’s new heli-skiing operation. I can handle being his temporary roommate, right? Chemistry and attraction aren’t impossible to ignore when you agree on ground rules. Besides, even with those gorgeous, brooding brown eyes, the guy is a walking thundercloud…until my daughter, Sutton, makes him laugh and he smiles at me. Then everything changes. Cue inconvenient heart flip.

This is only temporary.
I can’t fall for Weston.
I. Will. Not. Fall. For. Weston.
But rules go out the window when you’re a little too close.

When duty calls, Weston shows up--as a helicopter pilot for the army or as the reliable brother of the Madigan family. He's nothing if not reliable. So when his big brother Reed calls him up out of the blue, he gives up the biggest promotion of his life to return home to help with the family business.

Callie hasn't seen Weston since the day he hired her, nineteen, pregnant and jobless. What has eleven years changed? He's angrier, broodier and dreads being back at Madigan, possibly more than when he had left. When circumstances throw them together again, this time as roommates, the two set some ground rules and hope like hell they won't loathe living together. Did we think we could fall a little bit more for a back country skiier and skilled helicopter pilot? Maybe just a bit when he unknowingly (to himself) falls for Callie, her daughter Sutton and the life they've fallen into together. The chemistry between the two is undeniable and off the charts. Yarros, once again, spins a tale that pulls at your heartstrings and all just gives you all the feels.

Mine to Hold (Southern Wedding #2) by Natasha Madison

Are you ready for The Southern Wedding Series?
Things are supposed to go smoothly on your wedding day.
Aren't they?

Shelby
I got a love letter the night before I was supposed to marry the love of my life.
Except the letter wasn't for me.
My future husband had written it to someone else.

Weston (Ace)
Standing at the altar to watch my best friend get married was an honor.
Finding out that he was sleeping with my girlfriend was a nightmare.
Everything I knew was a lie.
When the opportunity came to get out of town and leave my ex behind, I took it.
Umbrella drinks and broken hearts don't mix well.
I shouldn't want Shelby for myself - but I do.
I want her more than I've ever wanted anyone.

Maybe, she was just mine to hold.

Loved this read. I went in with lower expectations because of the jilted bride and the best friend trope but the back story/history to it definitely makes this one worth reading. A bit unbelievable that Shelby's fiancee gets found out the night before their wedding and even more unbelievable is that he's been having an affair with HIS best man's girlfriend! Of course, it just so happens that his best man is Shelby's best friend...the drama just doesn't get any better than that. Going on her honeymoon anyways, Shelby invites her best friend along to lick his wounds. Little do the two expect things to get heated between the two of them...

No cheating, no cliffhangers, and guaranteed to leave you breathlessly in love with the fiercely loyal and wickedly naughty Bradens.

Months ago, famed wedding-gown designer Jax Braden met the woman of his dreams when a bride-to-be came in for a consultation. He’s tried to move on, but there is no forgetting beautiful, smart, and refreshingly real Jordan Lawler, or the loneliness she cleverly tries to hide. When Jordan hires him to design her wedding gown, Jax knows he’s in trouble, but he cannot walk away. As business meetings turn to late-night confessions, their connection deepens, igniting passion too strong to deny. They’re drawn into an inescapable and forbidden love. Loyalties are tested and hearts are frayed, but neither will cross that invisible line in the sand. Come along for the
sexy, emotional ride as Jax and Jordan face their toughest competitors yet—their hearts.

Then Came Love is available for purchase:

This is the first Melissa Foster I've read and I may have opened up a can of worms. I absolutely loved Then Came Love. Could it be that I was totally charmed by Jax? Quite possibly, but you couldn't help but take a liking to Jordan. She's so sweet and you just can't help but feel for her. Jordan feels the sparks fly when she initially meets Jax Braden months before. Still in the thick of an engagement that feels like is on the rocks from the get-go, Jordan does what she feels she should be doing--getting over these ridiculous feelings and moving on with planning her wedding. But when Jax put his best foot forward and shows her how life and love really should feel like, things get a little messy. I loved their story, it was sweet, it was sexy and it cleverly tied in Jordan's long-lost sister and set up for another story from another one of the author's series. Might have to dive in a bit deeper here...

Blog Tour: Ever Wilde by HK Jacobs

Sometimes the end of the story is actually the beginning...

Alex Wilde—ICU doctor, world traveler, adventurous heroine. And now wife to the love of her life and one of the wealthiest philanthropists in the world. Life is nothing like she ever pictured. It's even better. But even the happiest of fairy tales comes with a price.

When a series of unexpected events threatens the framework of her new life with Ian, Alex retreats to her hometown of Cole's Church, Texas where she is caught up in a web of intrigue from her past.  A past that she willfully forgot. Even if the events of that summer put her entire future into motion.  Will returning to her roots give her the direction she needs to secure her future happiness with Ian or be the catalyst that tears them apart?

Ever Wilde is available for purchase:

As much as I loved the first two books in this trilogy, I truly loved this final book. Most people would probably expect this final book to be pages of Ian and Alex living up the honeymoon phase of their marriage. What I didn't expect was to be thrown into Alex's past. Jacobs really takes her character to another level with an extensive look into her past. We really see where she comes from, both literally and figuratively and how she gets to being a paediatric ICU doctor. This book is so well done that I'm actually not mad that Ian doesn't take a very central role in it (sorry, spoiler!). Not going to lie...I found many moments where I was most definitely Team Justin... Immensely fulfilling book, a great wrap up to a thoroughly enjoyable trilogy.

Blog Tour: Reason to Believe by Rebecca Yarros

“I’ll take them!”

That’s what I tell the social worker when my pre-k student and his baby brother need an emergency foster placement. I’ll do anything to keep the brothers from being split up. But my apartment’s flooded and there’s only one house I can take them to on such short notice…his.

Knox Daniels, my older brother’s best friend, offers his new place without hesitation. He’s not moving back to our tiny town until next month—that’s when all our hotshot firefighters are returning for their one and only chance to rebuild our fathers’ fallen, iconic crew.

It doesn’t matter that I’ve been silently in love with Knox since we were kids. It can’t matter that we pretend that reckless prom night kiss never happened. It won’t matter that my feelings for him could destroy his lifelong friendship with my brother and threaten the certification of their hotshot crew. Because I’ll be out of his house long before he gets back.

Except Knox just walked in…a month early. And the icing on this awkward cake? He’s gorgeous as always and I’m covered in baby puke. He takes one look at the boys and tells me we can make this work—

We can temporarily fake a relationship to keep them from being separated by the system.
Suddenly, everything matters.

Reason to Believe is available for purchase:

For me, Reason to Believe was a long awaited, first full-length novel in the Legacy series. The little novellas Rebecca Yarros has been dropping here and there just have not done it for me! I can honestly say that this novel did anything but disappoint. Knox and Harper's story was not at all what I expected it to be. This is definitely not your typical dance around between two individuals, attracted to each other but separated by loyalties to a third-party brother/best friend. Knox has always been in love with Harper and his many years away has not changed that. In fact, moving back home to where his heart had stayed put only puts him back in a direct path with Harper. Brought together and bound by the tragic loss of their fathers, Harper and Knox only find themselves more entertwined as life throws yet another curveball their way. The pair rise up to the challenge, putting their hearts on the line and letting their love for two little boys go ahead of any agenda they may have had for themselves. I think their selflessness adds to the immense amount of emotions in this book.

There is so much history right off the bat that your emotions are high right from the start of the story. If you want all the feels, you will not be disappointed. The feelings are all over the place. From the gut wrenching ultimatums to the rollercoaster ride of emotions while the pair navigate the foster system, Reason to Believe takes you for the wildest ride. If this is the start of the Legacy series, we're in for an intense ride.
