After the tragedy, Linc and his
family fled a town they were no longer welcome in.
Still grieving the death of her
brother, Tilly’s world is rocked again when, three years
later, Lincoln Reid has to come home.
Linc tries to stay away from Tilly,
but once he sees her fighting feelings for him, he can’t stay in the shadows.
Lincoln and Tilly have a history, one that turned real dark and dismal when Lincoln, his brother Stanley and Tilly's brother Robbie were in a fatal crash that took Robbie's life. Now, four years later, Tilly and her family are still trying to pick up the pieces and move on with their lives. Lincoln, having fled town shortly after the accident, returns to town to tie up some loose ends. While there, he's faced with (finally) dealing with his feelings for Tilly. For Tilly, this entire book is of her ups and downs. She goes through mega-guilt of her own and she feels responsible for her parents' happiness. She is trying to come to terms with her own feelings for Lincoln, though really having a tough time doing so. A real tumultuous story here, expect to go on a roller coaster rid of feelings. I'm not surprised by the ending but it definitely took awhile to get there!
