Blog Tour: All Because of You by Theresa Paolo

Sometimes you have to lose everything to find your happy ending.

Olivia Green had the picture-perfect life. Dating one of the most successful businessmen in New York City, living in a penthouse over Manhattan and a budding career, until one dreadful night when it was all ripped out from under her. If only she'd gone home like she was supposed to, she wouldn't have known her future fiancé was a two-timing jerk. Now with no choice she is leaving the city to move back in with her parents in the small town of Morgan's Bay.

Shane McConnell believed he had no family other than his mother, but on her death bed, she revealed the father who died before he was born, came from a large wealthy family. With nothing to lose he sets out to the east end of Long Island to spend a summer with his newly discovered family. What he doesn’t expect is the secrets and lies dating back to long before his father’s death. Nor could he predict the beautiful hot mess he met on the train would find a way into his closed off heart.

Both struggling with the realities of their new lives they unintentionally lean on each other. As their attraction builds and their undeniable chemistry explodes into passion, Shane holds onto his own secret that threatens his chance at love.

Olivia strives to always have the best and be the best. She left her small hometown of Morgan's Bay for Manhattan to live her best life. Her seemingly perfect life crumbles before her when she finds out her fiance is cheating on her. She retreats back to Morgan's Bay to figure out her life. Coincidentally, Shane is on his way to Morgan's Bay to reconnect with a family he just discovered he has. Having chance met on the train, the two of them forge a connection that only grows the more they encounter each other. Olivia, Shane and their family/friends are lovable and the story is a nice one that enforces the importance of family and finding yourself when you find yourself at a rough time in your life. This is a sweet and easy read, I liked the characters enough that I would definitely read the following books in this series.

Blog Tour: Pride & Persuasion by Wrenn Montgomery

Elliott James is a control freak. After being told she was nothing special by her ex, Baker Williams, she’s spent the last eight years proving him wrong. She’s built a life she loves— prominent attorney, partner at her firm, a luxurious penthouse, and the best friends a girl could ask for. After a harrowing encounter last year, she’s determined to get her life back on track. She’s succeeding, until a case brings her face to face with the one man that’s ever made her want to lose control.

Baker Williams started with nothing but determination to make a better life for himself. He’s built an empire he’s proud of, by acquiring companies and working his way up. So when a rogue employee threatens to bring his kingdom tumbling down, he hires the best to defend his case. His only fault is not realizing that the best is Elliott James, and she’s ready to remind him of all the damage he did years ago.

Eight years ago, Elliott and Baker were matches and gasoline. Explosive and hot. Back then, they both walked away burned. When they’re forced to work together long after the flames have died down, they discover they’re just as combustible as ever. Now, they have to figure out how to save each other without their spark burning down everything they’ve worked so hard for in the process.

Pride & Persuasion is available for purchase:

Not going to lie, the title of this novel was the big draw for me to pick it up! I'm a sucker for anything Pride & Prejudice-esque. Elliott and Baker were not expected to be thrown back together. If anything, they've been avoiding each other since their fiery breakup almost a decade ago. To their dismay, they both have to suck it up and work together like professionals. Of course, to be expected, all the unresolved feelings come back up when they get thrown together and the chemistry is just off the wall from then forward. The writing was captivating, as were the characters. This was an explosive love/hate/love dynamic that kept me turning pages. Haven't loved a couple so much in a long time.
